Automation and Artificial Intelligence are game-changing technologies in IT sector. IT industry is pacing fast towards automation. To keep pace with this changing trends and advancements the businesses are adapting to these rapidly shifting demographics as soon as possible. Automation is expected to gain further steam in 2018, affecting nearly 70 per cent of the Indian workforce. Recently tech giants like Infosys, IBM, Cognizant lay off their employees because of the more advent of software platform and automation.

As you recall back, at start of 19th century industry revolution also created unemployment but it also lead to the creation of huge opportunities. Every industrial revolution has an inverse effect on employment but it also pave way for new opportunities. There is no denying the fact that automation has reduced hiring but it is not all because of automation.

With the growing demand for automation experts and new technologies emerge at a rapid pace, gaining the relevant technical skills is crucial for candidates who are looking to improve their chances to get hired.

In IT industry, automation technologies are widely being used in the field of Marketing and Testing. Of the two fields, the Marketing automation is mostly based on the tools, requires less efforts. But it has limited opportunities. While in the other hand, Test automation requires knowledge of tools and coding skills and it is creating more opportunities.

In the coming years the demand for automation tester will increase, as new technologies and gadgets will need inventive testing mechanisms. Automation testing has been enabling businesses to test their products within stringent timelines and with better efficiency. As business are keeping quality and efficiency being the focus, there will be a growing need for test automation to ensure it.
